Taking Care of Your Cute Husky Puppies

Home / Dog Breeds / Taking Care of Your Cute Husky Puppies

Cute Husky puppies are a great choice for anyone who wants to raise a happy, energetic, and excitable dog. Huskies are great to keep around the family, but they are very independent and their stubbornness can sometimes be a challenge. It’s important to begin training at an early age if you want your puppy to behave.

Aside from that, cute Husky puppies are fantastic for single people or families. They are very rewarding to raise, and if you raise them well, they will always appreciate your companionship.

Things to Know About Cute Husky Puppies

Husky puppies might be cute, but that’s not all. There are some things that you might be interested in knowing about your puppies before you decide to buy one.

  • Huskies are avid diggers. If you don’t have a backyard or a spot where you can designate them some digging space, you’ll probably have to take them to the beach or the forest – somewhere that it can satisfy its digging needs.
  • Huskies require a lot of exercise. They were bred as sled dogs, and they still carry a lot of the energy of their breed. You’ll need to give them at least a half hour of brisk walking every day.
  • Huskies need tons of attention. They’re prone to separation anxiety (even when you do give them all your love) but it’s important to make sure that you spend lots of time with them every day. Huskies don’t do well if you’re spending half the day at work.

Training Your Cute Husky Puppies

One of the most important things to remember when you’re training your Husky is that Huskies tend to assume a dominant role if someone else doesn’t do it first. That means that you need to be relatively strict and consistent.

However, this doesn’t mean punishing your dog. Positive affirmations – rewarding your dog when it does something good – are the best.

Make sure to socialize your pup at an early age.

Caring for Your Husky

There are a few tips and tricks that you can use to make sure that your Husky stays clean, healthy, and happy.

  • Small Husky puppies do better with several small meals per day, rather than one or two large meals. As they age (more than 3 months) you may find that they only need 3 meals per day.
  • You’ll need to groom your Husky regularly. If you’ve seen how beautiful and elegant huskies look, then you should understand that a lot of time and effort goes into making sure that these dogs look so beautiful.
    • Huskies shed a lot because of their double coats, so you’re going to need to make sure that you groom them on a regular basis.
  • Other than that, Huskies are naturally quite clean. This means that you’ll only need to bathe them a few times a year, or when they end up getting muddy or wet.
  • Make sure that you brush your puppy’s teeth on a regular basis. Starting to brush their teeth at an early age will help them become accustomed to the idea and sensation of having you stick your fingers in their mouth.

Follow these tips and tricks and you’ll raise some happy and cute Husky puppies.
