If the health of your pet dog is your priority, then you should immediately replace ready-made dog treats with homemade treats.
It's always better to prepare dog food at home, instead of relying on ready-made food. Homemade food is safe and―more importantly―you know what things are going inside your dog's tummy. The same cannot be said about ready-made dog food, which may contain ingredients that can adversely affect your dog's health.
Moreover, readily available pet food may not fulfill the nutritional requirements of your pet dog if he is suffering from some condition. Dogs with diabetes, for instance, need special attention to their diet and hence, their owners should always serve them healthy dog, which is prepared at home.
